The Payroll Administration course is at a higher professional education (HBO-AD) level. No prior education is required, and there are no admission requirements. Whether you are a beginner or have some experience, we will coach you through the learning process, ensuring your growth at every step.
The Payroll Administration course consists of three modules where you will learn about the obligations of companies regarding payroll taxes, including income tax and insurance premiums. You will gain insight into labor law, social security, unemployment, and disability. Additionally, you will develop skills in personnel policy, organization, and communication, learning to draft job descriptions, understand administrative concepts, and improve your communication skills. Detailed information about each module can be found under the ‘Program’ tab. We offer digital learning materials for all three modules of the Practical Diploma in Payroll Administration in English. A fully digital learning environment has been developed for each module, where you will find English study materials available in an online reader. Additionally, you can access instructional videos and complete numerous exercises.
The study load for the Payroll Administration course is approximately five to six clock hours per week.
A recognized Payroll Administration diploma is a valuable addition to your CV. Therefore, we offer you the opportunity to test your knowledge through the exams of the Association for Examination. Upon successful completion, you will receive the official diploma.
After obtaining this diploma, you can register with the Dutch Institute for Payroll Accounting (NIRPA), which allows you to use the title RSa (Registered Payroll Administrator). The NIRPA recognizes De Laat Kenniscentrum as a training provider for this course.

Every company that employs staff is required to pay payroll taxes and file returns. In this module, we thoroughly cover important topics such as:
In this module, you will learn about key topics such as labor relations, employment contracts, social security, unemployment, and disability. The focus is on the theoretical aspects.
In this module, you will actively work on drafting job descriptions and formulating personnel policies. We cover important administrative concepts, the role of automation, and general organizational theory. You will also develop new communication skills, an essential part of the profession.
Each module is completed with a separate exam (in English). The online exams are conducted by the Dutch Association for Practical Examinations at various locations throughout the Netherlands. Registration for the exam is done online and is always at your own expense and responsibility.

The dates provided are guidelines; the final start date and class times are determined in consultation with the students. If no course start is currently scheduled, please contact us. Our courses typically consist of one session every two weeks, ensuring a good balance between study, work, and private life.
The PDL course can be taken either online or in person. This flexibility allows you to choose the learning method that best fits your needs and schedule. In-person classes offer personal contact and interaction in a physical environment. The online option provides the same structured lessons, allowing you to participate via a platform like Microsoft Teams. This way, you can enjoy the benefits of a live class without the need to travel to the location.
